Well Preserved Blunderbuss Flintlock Rifle, 18th Century
European "Blunderbuss" rifle, probably mid to late 18th century with a well carved blonde wood full-stock. Right hand stock and well carved floral motif just reverse the barrel. Carved steel mounts throughout with light engraving to the tang of the barrel and butt plate. Barrel with a well flared blunderbuss tip. Engraved in gilt highlighting panoply of arms with light floral motifs. Very good all original blunderbuss in unaltered condition with a very crisp action. Ramrod with twisted steel corkscrew tip, ebonized wood, and brass tip. Size 33 1/4" L, barrel 17 1/2" L

Condition: Stock in good condition with light knicks and scratching under the finish typical for age and use. Barrel in very good condition with unobstructed with a clear sight to touch hole.
