Excellent Miquelet Flintlock Pistol, Ripoll 1760-1780
Iberian Peninsula, Catalonia, town of Ripoll. Fantastic very large Trabuco Spanish-Mexican miquelet flintlock blunderbuss pistol of the 18th century. Stock with refinishing in a blonde and brown color. Large panels of gilt brass to the classic (Catalan) butt. Engraved to gilt brass trigger stock plate with steel trigger guard. Octagonal to round large bore barrel with a flared blunderbuss muzzle. Lock with engraving of foliate motifs. Original side plate belt hook. Barrel with touch mark of size letters under the crown with the lower letters reading LAS?. Size 14" L, barrel 8" L
