German Engraved Bone Wheellock Pistol, 16th c.
Antique German, Nuremburg, late 16th century wheellock pistol. Later lock likely circa 1700s. Stock profusely inlaid with staghorn bone plaques engraved with flowers and scenes of the hunt including figures, dogs, and rabbits. Adam and Eve carved to the back of the grip. An armored knight to the pommel. Size 14 1/2" L, barrel 7 1/4" L
Condition: Wear and tear commensurate with age and use. Absent some retaining pins and screws to lock plate. Barrel loose. Other looses/flaws as seen in images. Retains a bone carved tip ramrod. Butt plate not attached.
