Massive Silver Inlaid Cavalry Flintlock Pistol, Circa 1780-1825
Anatolia, Turkey, Ottoman Empire late 18th or early 19th century. Massive Islamic silver wire inlaid flintlock cavalry pistol. Profusely decorated stock in very intricate silver wire and brass floral scrolling motifs. Brass mounted overall with butt plate featuring Ottoman designs. Damascus steel barrel and lock plate in matching thick silver inlay of scrolling patterns and additional Ottoman motifs. Size 23 1/2" L, barrel 15 1/2" L
