European Armour Breastplate, Mid-17th century
Likely English Civil war period use 1642-1651 armor breastplate used with cavalry. Breastplate with a straight central medial ridge, flared slightly to the neck and bottom edge with straight lip. Original blackened surface with some later cleaning. Constructed of multiple overlapping plates hammer struck together. Size 19" H x 15" W
Condition: With original blackened surface that has been cleaned and left with a light white color to cervices.
