Scarce High Comb Cabasset Helmet, Spanish 16th C.
Iberian Peninsula, Spain, Spanish Colonial conquistador high comb cabasset helmet, 16th century. Very early and obviously authentic cabasset helmet with a rolled and roped lip to the brim. Rivets removed to the skull which is notable very high with a typical turned reverse peak. Size 9" H x 10 1/4" W (Brass inventory tag not included)

Condition: Fine condition with light wear and oxidization commensurate with age and use. Old impact point to brim typical from use.
