Copper Plate: 1946 Journeys End- Geese Etching
Etched copper plate circa 1946. The plate surface is paraffin protected. Image under paraffin reveals an etching of geese in flight over a body of water. 20.5 x 17.5 inches. The plate comes with an example of the print produced, with notes on the proof from the 1940s by the original printer. Noted: margin rust on edges of the plate and .5 inch surface rust over paraffin, it is unknown how this may have impacted the image under the wax.
