Clerks Desk - Western Union Circa 1870s Style
Antique clerks desk of the style and size used in many rural Western Union offices in the late 1800s. Fold-out writing surface over the full drawer and small inner drawer, 12 small compartments, a ledger/file partition area, and an additional secreted row of 8 cubbies ( pigeon hole compartments ) on the top behind a hinged panel. Green felt blotter area and felt-lined large compartment. Well preserved with age-appropriate use and wear. Measurements : 36 at 21.25 inches x 57.5 high
