Hand Carved Jadite Three Wise Monkeys
In this grouping, we have two Kikazaru and one Mizaru. ( Iwazaru: speak no evil: has been replaced by a 2nd Kikazaru.) The three wise monkeys are a pictorial adaptation of a Japanese proverb. Together they embody the proverbial principle to "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil". The three monkeys are Mizaru, covering his eyes, who sees no evil; Kikazaru, covering his ears, who hears no evil; and Iwazaru, covering his mouth, who speaks no evil. each smiling wise figure measures 1.5 inches.
