Doors Unreleased Photo Folio: 10+ PCS with Provenance from Elektra Records

Actual original photos from Elektra records photoshoots, mock-ups for album and poster art, promo photo test shots, including all four band members circa 1967 -68, Waiting for the Sun album promotion. Multiple unreleased images of James Morrison and unique insight into the design processes of the music industry in the late 1960s. This material has been unseen since the 1970s and has remained in the possession of an Elektra Records Management member till now.  Provenance: Ric Aliberti: Former Artist Management Elektra  Records. 

Wiki Notes: The Doors were an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965, with vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger, and drummer John Densmore. On August 10, 1966, they were spotted by Elektra Records president Jac Holzman, who was present at the recommendation of Love singer Arthur Lee, whose group was with Elektra Records. After Holzman and producer Paul A. Rothchild saw two sets of the band playing at the Whisky a Go-Go, they signed them to the Elektra Records label on August 18, 1966; the start of a relationship with Rothchild and sound engineer Bruce Botnick that would produce Iconic Albums:  The Doors;  Strange Days; Waiting for the Sun; The Soft Parade; Morrison Hotel; Absolutely Live and  L.A. Woman.
