A selection of Five (5) Japanese woodblock print books from the Showa period or earlier will be presented.   These books are from the Ethel Traphagen (1882-1963)  Collection.  Ethel Traphagen was the founder of the Traphagen School of Fashion (1923-1991).  


This is a no-reserve auction and items can be shipped worldwide.

The book measures approximately 9 inches by 6 1/2 inches. It contains 52 hand-colored woodblock prints and several pages of Japanese writing on Mulberry paper. Pages have staining, and edge chips, and are separated from the binding. There is also a browning of pages.
