'The Jew and the lice' - Fritz Ferdinand Preiss - Anti-Semitic Postcard. Early 20th century


"Greeting from Russian Poland" - A postcard showing 'Russisch poln jude' (meaning to characterize Polish Jews during the First World War whose territories were occupied by Russia). Facing the "Russian Polnisehe Laus", emphasizing their supposed similarity. When the dehumanization in which the Jew is presented is clear. Illustrator and edit by  Fritz Ferdinand Preiss - his name also appears on the Jewish jacket, as well as ink stamps of his gallery at the back.


The illustrator and publisher Fritz Ferdinand Preiss [1882-1943] of the leading German  sculpture during the Art Deco period. His works are considered the pinnacle of sculpture in the century, and are now sold at astronomical prices around the world.
