WORLD WAR I MEDICAL POSTER: "WE NEED YOU"
Well-illustrated World War I poster, 32 x 42 in., ca. 1918, showing a Red Cross nurse appealing to a young woman for help, as another nurse tends to a wounded man. The bottom-left corner bears the printed signature of the artist Albert Sterner. The bottom margin bears the publishing line of the American Lithographic Company in New York. Folds, large pin holes at the margins, some loss toward the edges, else very good condition.
