Maharanach Responsa: questions & answers by Rav Eliyahu ben Chaim- first print.

Novellae on Masseches Kesubos at end of sefer. In introduction, his disciple- Rav Yitzchak Leon relates that after the author's passing, his writings were stolen. After Constantinople's sages publicized a cherem on he who took the writings without permission, the thief left the writings on masseches Kesubos in the shul. Immediately they were found and prepared for publishing. The assumption is that there were many other writings that were not found.

Bibliographers disagree as to the place and year of print- M. Benayahu in his article Titled 'Turkey prints which are actually Italian prints' (Sinai, 72, 5733) claims that it was printed in Venice, Italy around 5363 in Daniel Zahnitti's printing house. Y. Yudelov, in his article 'The history of the Jewish press in Mantova in the Sixteenth century' (Kiryat Sefer, 49, 5734) disagrees.

6, 272 pages. 27 cm. Beautiful copy, beautiful binding- a bit worn, in good condition.
