A collection of 25 anti-Semitic cartoons published in the Viennese DER FLOH in the 1870s, depicting stereotyped local and eastern European Jews as greed, grimaces, slurs and money, Accused of secularization and global modernization, and threatening the peace of the local population.


In the late of the 19th century, anti-Semitism in the Austro-Hungarian Empire intensified rapidly. The sudden rise of political antisemitism in the late 19th century was the result of a change in the system of elections, which gave all (including workers) suffrage.

Different sizes. The cartoons pasted to large boards for preservation. overall very good condition.
