Three Classic Sefarim-First Prints-Incomplete Copies: Sma, Shach and Shla.

Sma (Sefer Meiras Einayim)- Choshen Mishpat, very rare first print, by Rav Yehoshua Polack Katz. First print of the very fundamental and important work on Shulchan Aruch, Choshen Mishpat.

Lublin 5374 [1614] first print.

On page 321b are approbations from the rabbonim who gathered at the Jaroslaw fair, including the Bach, the Shla and the Kli Yakar.
On page 321a are Yemenite-script signatures of ownership. First and last pages are damaged; in rest of sefer is moth damage- only in margins. Brown paper.

Shach Choshen Mishpat- first extremely rare edition. Sefer Siftei Cohen- chiddushei dinim and commentary of Shulchan Aruch, Choshen Mishpat by Rav Shabtai Katz.

Amsterdam 5423 [1663] first print.

Before his passing (in 5422) the Shach instructed his son-in-law to print the sefer. When the sefer's printing was delayed due to lack of funds, his father-in-law, the Shach appeared to him in a dream- as he relates in the sefer's introduction: 'Since I could not do my plan, and could not perform that which my mouth had uttered, and money was expensive in my eyes and the gates of money/tears (it's a Hebrew play on words- damim is money and dmaos are tears) have escaped me, and my father-in-law, in dreams and visions- accused me- that I had forsaken my word...'
On other side of title page are approbations from Polish rabbonim who gathered in the גרמניץ fair in 5414 (in the Shach's lifetime), headed by Rav Heshel of Krakow- the Shach's rav; Rav Yonah Teomim- author of Kikayon Deyonah. Additional approbations from: Rav Sheftil- son of the Shla and author of Vavey Amudim; the Avodas Hagershuni and the Birkas Hazevach.
[1], 337 pages. 31 cm. Missing page with son-in-law of the author's introduction- Shir Mehashach; beside for this, the sefer is complete. With moth damage, most of which are in inner margins; title page has tears with damage to text and stains, as well as dark stains on last page.
