Concerning Rabbi Essner's need for financial assistance due to his wife's illness. He wished to take her to a sanitarium to recover.

Prešov, Hungary: Wednesday of Parshath Ki Thavo 1928
Rabbi Essner was the rosh yeshiva of the Yeshiva of Preshov, and also the chief rabbi of Raslovitz (Raslavice, Slovakia) following the death of his father-in-law Rabbi Avraham Shlomo Katz. He published Shulchan shel Arba (Vranov nad Toplou, 1939) by Rabbeinu Bachya, with a section called Shtei Yadoth.
