Shoot the Hat Rare Animated Cap Gun
Probably Ives, Blakeslee Company. Pat. Pending - 1890's - 4 3/4" Long. In the 21st century, the expression "shoot the hat" seems to have no usable decipherable meaning, and yet, that wording not only appears on this rare cap gun, but also upon an extremely rare mechanical toy bank from the same period.
