Silver Candle Holder for Havdalah of Rebbe Maharash and Rebbe Rashab of Lubavitch - With Certificate of Authenticity Signed by their Granddaughter, Rebbetzin Chanah Gurary
Silver candle holder for Havdalah (marked; hallmarks worn - probably London, early-mid 19th century).
Letter of authenticity enclosed (handwritten note, in English), signed in Hebrew by Rebbetzin Chanah Gurary (1899-1991), eldest daughter of Rebbe Rayatz: "I hereby gift… the silver candle holder for Havdalah from my great grandfather the Rebbe Maharash. He bought it during one of his foreign trips. My grandfather used it until he moved to Rostov. He gave it to me when his health started to get worse. He told me to use it when I get married. I did until World War II. When I see it it brings back a lot of memories". Dated November 5, 1989.
7X10 cm. Good condition. Small break (with loss) to shaft.
