Pnei Moshe - novellae on the Torah portions by Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua Leib Diskin, "And in addition, glosses with novellae by the Admo"r of Gur [author of Imrei Emet] shlit"a, who had the manuscript for several days." by Rabbi Yitzchak Aryeh Rubawitz. Jerusalem, Einav Press, 1934.
The author wrote words he heard from the Mahari"l Diskin, and what he heard from the latter's disciples in his name. He also added comments of his own called Machaneh Yehudah. With approbations from Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Kook, Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld and more.
The author wrote on the back of the title page that he was assisted in the book's printing by Rabbi Ya'akov Moshe Charlo"p, the Admo"r of Gur and others. The author writes on leaf 19: "Like now when the Nazis are persecuting the Jews in Germany ... by Hitler may his name and memory be obliterated."
Especially rare book. Not found in the National Library. Listed in Mif'al HaBibliographiah with a mistake in the number of leaves according to a copy in the Rambam Library.
64 leaves, 22 cm. Fine condition. Minimal aging stains. Wear and small tears in the margins of several leaves.
Uncut sheets. The compilations were never bound and are not attached.
