Charles Gilbert (American, 1873-1929) lithograph. "Entrée triomphale des Prussiens à Paris". Printed by Rose-Joseph Lemercier (French, 1803 - 1887). "Prussian soldiers including Bismarck in various uniforms behind bars of a zoo, French sentry in right foreground, 2 children at left laughing at Prussians, sign reads: 'AVIS. Le public est prié de ne rien jeter aux animaux exposés' ("NOTICE. The public is asked not to throw anything to the animals on display")." Sight: 17" H x 21 1/4" W. Frame: 22" H x 28" W.
