Rabbi Sofer was one of the great sages of Iraq and Jerusalem. He devoted his life to studying Torah and writing halachic and Kabbalistic compositions in the attic of the renowned Shoshanim L’David synagogue in Jerusalem’s Beit Yisrael neighborhood.
