Classic: Sefer Yam Shel Shlomo, Prague 1616. First Edition. The Moshe Lvov Copy.
A complete copy of Sefer Yam Shel Shlomo on Bava Kamma, first edition, printed in Prague in 1616. Printed with the approbations of R. Yeshayah HaLevi Horowitz - The Shelah HaKadosh and R. Efraim Luntchuys - The Keli Yakar. At the end of the Sefer is another declaration from The Shelah, Keli Yakar, and the Tosfos Yom prohibiting anyone from reprinting this work without permission. Rare.
This copy belonged to R. Moshe Lvov, a renowned 17th bibliophile and collector. An inscription on the title page reads: “I chose to trade this volume in exchange for other Seforim, signed, here in Metz, 1695, Moshe Lvov”.
In very good condition. Title page restored at margins with no loss of text. Bound in an ornate, new leather binding.
