Pair of Books by the Mahari"tz Chayut. First Editions. Interesting Correspondence with the Chatam Sofer

The Chatam Sofer, a friend of the author's, writes at length in the last responsum in Shu"t Chata"m Sofer (Orach Chaim, Responsum 208) relating to the book, and he writes to the author: "Greetings ... to the exalted and magnificent lofty ... Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch Chayut ... to share knowledge of endless love ... On Shabbat, I read [your] book Torat Nevi'im with much pleasure, reviewing it, etc." In the same responsum, the Chatam Sofer criticizes the Mahari"tz Chayut, saying that in his book Darkei Hora'ah (also sold in this lot), the Chatam Sofer responds to his criticism.
