CHEN QIUCHI, a contemporary Oil Painter Artist, who was born in 1959 in Jiutai, Jilin Province, graduated from the Art Faculty of Northeast Normal University in 1987. Since he is a painter from The Baby Boomer Generation, he has the unique experience of his generation. As a member of the human community, he felt deeply abhorred by all kinds of abominable behaviors made by the infinite expansion of human desires, but he can only use the form of art to express thoughts and feelings. His works have been exhibited in prestigious places like the National Art Museum of China.

He thinks, today, with the development of high technology, it has not only created brilliant material wealth and spiritual wealth for mankind but also brought serious survival crisis to mankind. population crisis, energy crisis, environmental crisis, etc, like a plague around the whole human race. He uses head pattern as a picture symbol to form a schema, either smiling or guffawing, seeming to be disdainful of everything, and indifferent to it. The ?lust? series is one of his masterpieces. The series of paintings exaggerates his anger and condemnation of the evils of mankind, for human protection of the earth "mother" sounded the alarm.

"Humanity is like a virus in the earth mother's body unlimited reproduction, human beings in their own rapid reproduction at the same time, but also with their 'high intelligence' and 'high technology' to produce a variety of 'advanced garbage' these viruses and high-tech junk make mother earth in ruins. How long can 'the mother' bear it? How long can humans be arrogant! My brush still signs." he said.

Description

In this group of works, Chen Qiuchi combines the human faces into trees, flowers still life, dragon and desert ruins to form the painting pattern. The works express that mankind spares no effort to destroy the environment which it depends on for its development and interests while harming the living space of other life. It seems that human beings are now aware of environmental damage and pollution and are actively protecting and repairing it. But that doesn't seem to be as fast as the speed that humans are destroying the environment. The rapid growth of population, the rapid expansion of cities, the decrease of arable land, the serious damage and pollution of the environment caused by modern wars and products, etc., are the most intractable and unsolvable problems of human beings. As Musk said, the earth is no longer suitable for human life, and he is researching rockets to send people to Mars so that future generations of human beings can continue. No matter how his dream comes true, there will surely come a time when a man can no longer live here. Humans should think early to solve these problems!
