The 2007 Little Rock Central High School Desegration Proof Silver Dollar Commemorative better known as the "Little Rock Nine" Commemorative was issued to commemorate the historic desegregation of Little Rock, Arkansas. This event took place with the landmark Supreme Court decision, Brown v. Board of Education. Nine students were chosen from the black school to begin the desegregation. The students were chosen based on their academic performance and attendance records. The importance of the Little Rock Nine was not just felt in Little Rock but worldwide. This example is graded PR70 DCAM by USCG.
