ANTIQUE FRENCH LITHO POSTER BY GEORGES DE FEURE
A rare antique French original stone lithograph poster, Indian Palaces Teas (Plate 199). The lithograph was created by Georges de Feure in 1900 for the portfolio, The Masters of the Poster which refers to one of the most prestigious and influential art publications in history. The 256 color plates that make up the suite represent a wide ranging selection of outstanding original posters from the turn of the 20th century when this popular art form first reached its peak. Signed in the plate lower to the center. Titled in the plate upper to the center. Published by Imprimerie Chaix Paris. The lithograph is authenticated by the publishers dry stamp, lower left. Georges de Feure, 1868 to 1943, was a French painter, theatrical designer, and industrial art designer in the symbolism and Art Nouveau styles.
