1990s Danelectro 56 U2 Reissue Left Handed
The '56U2 reissue is a Danelectro hollow body, dating back to its original run from '56–'58. The U2 is constructed from a hardboard/plywood body that is lightweight and delivers a signature midrange tone. Maple neck with pau ferro fingerboard twin lipstick pickups wired in series rather than in parallel. With coils wrapped around an Alnico VI magnet and then wrapped in tape, these pickups harken back to the vintage tone of rock's earliest days. Along with a smooth, responsive, bolt-on maple neck and pau ferro fingerboard, the '56U2 features an adjustable bridge, with a 3-way pickup selector and master volume and tone control. The U2 has won over numerous legends in rock including Ronnie Wood, Steve Perry, and Mark Knopfler. Please observe the images provided for surface, and aesthetic condition issues. Bench tested, working. This is a pre-owned, used vintage electronic instrument with an aftermarket decorated pickguard, a left-handed setup.
