Antique French Needlepoint Bench Cover
Antique 19th century French needlepoint bench cover. Bright Jacobean and sunflowers on a yellow ground, very bright and graphic. Edges are finished, but very worn. Border is only on three sides, possibly half of a larger piece. Measures 74 x 14.5 inches. Textile is in good condition with edge wear and minor thread loss. This item was part of Laura Fisher's estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship. We do our best to describe all items in detail and provide pictures. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
