Vintage Missoni Style Striped Square Hooked Rug
Vintage Missoni style, striped squares hooked rug runner. Sophisticated palette that is ageless, with narrow lines of bright color within a black field. Direction of the blocks is rotated to enliven the all over graphic and to convey texture as well as color. Measures 37 x 112 inches. Early 20th century wool on burlap. In very good condition, no holes or issues noted. This item was part of Laura Fisher's estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.
