Vintage folk art hooked rug with alternating squares of multi-color zigzags and white arcs with a red band. Measures 46 x 82 inches. Laura Fisher describes the rug as follows: "Wonderful hyacinth blue color, most unusual in a hooked rug, accented with a single arc of red and lots of white. This is a distinctive palette and a fresh and lively graphic design, all in a generous size hooked rug." In fair condition with some edging unravelling, a large tear that has been repaired, spots and overall fading compared to the back which is much brighter and defined. This item was part of Laura Fisher's estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.
