WWII US Army Europe Named Colonel Famous Inventor Uniform
WWII uniform of Colonel Clarence W. Vogt, a famous inventor and holder of many patents. During WWII he was the Chief of the Research and Development Division, Office of the Chief of Transportation. He also organized the Transportation Corps Technical Intelligence Team in the European Theater, analyzing captured German equipment and earning a Legion of Merit. He held over 100 inventions to include the process for making modern ice cream. The jacket has his name on the tailor label, bullion colonel eagles, US and Transportation Corps insignia, and a British made ETO patch. There are pin holes where ribbons were removed, but the jacket is overall in good condition. Comes with several pages of research.
