Slavita Tehillim – Incomplete Copy
Tehillim with two commentaries: Metzudat David and Metzudat Zion. [Slavita, 1821? / 1822? – printed by Rabbi Moshe Shapira]. With the Yehi Ratzon prayer after saying Tehillim, the Yehi Ratzon for the eve of Hoshana Raba and a prayer for an ill person. Reciting Tehillim from this book printed by Rebbe Moshe Shapira of Slavita, the son of Rabbi Pinchas of Korets and by his son Rabbi Shmuel Avraham Shapira has a special segula. Incomplete copy: 24-129, 130-143, 145-184 leaves, mispaginated. (Originally: [2] 184 leaves. Missing the first 25 leaves and 2 middle leaves: 130, 145 – Leaves 133-140 are bound out of order). 16.5 cm. Blue paper. Fair condition. Wear and stains. Restored damages. Elaborate leather binding. Without Seder Ma'amadot. The pagination matches the Slavita editions of the Book of Tehillim with the Metzudot commentaries, printed together with Seder Ma'amadot in 1821, 1822 in the printing press of Moshe Shapira. [The same number of leaves exists in the 1824 edition printed by his son Rabbi Shmuel Avraham Shapira, but the 1824 edition is not mispaginated like this copy].
