"Kereti u-Peleti"- Torah Novellae and In-Depth Study on the Yoreh De'ah Section of the Shulchan Aruch, by the Gaon Rav Yonasan Eibeschitz, Av Beis Din of the "Three communities": Altona, Hamburg and Wandsbek. In the Sefer's Introduction, Rav Yonoson Eibeschitz Comments on the Machlokes of the Ye"avetz Against Him, Which Was the "Talk of the Town" at That Time.
Altona 5523 [1763]. First Print. [3] 165 pages. 30 cm. Tears on title page (but not on any letters). Aside from this, in good condition.
Long Comment (partly cut off) on margins of one of the pages.
Owner's signatures:
On page before title page is a beautiful handwritten dedication by the Gaon Rav Yaakov Yosef Shik, Av Beis Din of האהאט, to the chasson bar-mitzvah Chaim Tzvi Gintzler, ben Rav Ze'ev Wolf Gintzler, Av Beis Din Balassagyarmat.
Rav Yaakov Yosef Shik from נעמעשסאלאק, and later the Av Beis Din of האהט, and after the war a Rav in Sydney, Australia, a descendant of Rav Yaakov Shik, Av Beis Din of נאדאודוואר (son of the Gaon, author of Imrey Dovid, and son-in-law of the Gaon and Tzaddik, author of Menuchas Asher).
On page 2a is an antique signature- Shlomo Segal Strois. It seems that he was the Av Beis Din of איאם, and the signature of his grandson, Rav Avraham Segal Strois, Av Beis Din of סילאדי.
