Handwritten. A Poem: Argument Between A Disciple and the Stick Which is Striking Him. Unknown.
A beautiful poem written in rhyme, in which the disciple cries out to the stick which is striking him and asks it to behave mercifully towards him.
Example from the first two stanzas:

Disciple to stick:
' Why, oh wicked dog, do you exude such fire? You have struck me so, I gave you meat and choice portions!'
Stick answers disciple in rebuke:
'Because you were found an ignoramus, Torah you have abhorred. The company of boors you have sought. For this were you created?'
Eight stanzas. Four stanzas "Disciple speaking to stick" and four stanzas "stick speaking to disciple".
Page Size: 20x30 cm. Stains and creases, but entire poem is complete.
Extremely rare, there is doubt if it is known from any other source.
