Concentration Camp Inmate Bracelet - Holocaust
KL inmate's Id. number bracelet, ground dug in the area of an unknown concentration camp in Europe. This bracelet has a metal plaque with the number of the inmate, in this case 1753, and a leather band to wear it on the wrist, still with buckle. These were hand made in many cases by inmates themselves. Similar bracelets can be found on all of the major holocaust and camp museum websites. Only at Auschwitz the inmate numbers were tattooed. Other camps would identify prisoners with items like bracelets or numbers sewn to garments. Very very uncommon item worn by an inmate that probably perished in the camp.
