Portrait of Sir John Falstaff, signed and dated 92.

Given inside a lovely wooden frame.

Sir John Falstaff - a fictional character appearing in three plays by William Shakespeare, as well as in Operas by Giuseppe Verdi and Otto Nicolai. Although essentially a comic character, Falstaff still potrays a kind of personality depth typical of leading Shakespearean characters.

He is presented a knight - fat, boastful and cowardly.
