Travel journal of Lady Judith Montefiore, the wife of the famous 19th-century Anglo-Jewish philanthropist Sir Moses Montefiore The book details her second travel to Palestine in the years 1838-1839, in which Montefiore visited Mount Meron, Safed and Jerusalem - where he read Psalms chapters in the tomb of David. He gave much charity and helped purchase remedies.
