Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinski (1863-1940), rabbi of Vilna and a Torah giant in Lithuania, was considered the leader of haredi Lithuanian Jewry during the generation of the Chofetz Chaim and the Gaon Rabbi Chaim of Brisk. The Chofetz Chaim referred to Rabbi Grodzinski as the “president of Klal Yisrael.”
