במחנה היה השבועון של צה"ל, שהופץ לחיילי וקציני צה"ל בשירות חובה ובשירות קבע. במחנה שימש כעיתון הרשמי של צה"ל ונחשב לשבועון הוותיק בישראל. בדצמבר 2016 נסגרה מערכת העיתון המוכרת, והעיתון החל להיות מופץ לראשונה כירחון דגיטלי תחת מדור "במחנה" בדוברות אכ"א. בדצמבר 2019 הוחלט על סגירתו ואיחודו עם אתר צה"ל
