כמן כן בספר לוח עם מפת ירושלים ועשרות איורים בגוף הטקסט המציגים שערים, מנזרים וכנסיות, אנשים, מלבושים, ושווקים באזור ירושלים.
ב-1864 הגיע קפטן צ'ארלס וילסון לירושלים בראש צוות הנדסי ושימש במשך עשרות שנים כמהנדס, מודד קרקעות וארכאולוג מטעם השלטון והצבא הבריטי. במשך השנים פרסם מספר ספרים ואלבומים העוסקים בארץ-ישראל.
