Scrolls, First Review, from an Ancient Genizah Found in the Judean Desert, by Elazar Lipa Sukenik, Professor at the Hebrew University, Bialik Institute
First publication about the hidden scrolls by Prof. Sukenik from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem who was the first researcher to study these scrolls, and published the first findings here. In the introduction, he describes, among other things, the difficult conditions in which the research was conducted during the War of Independence in Jerusalem, and at the beginning of the book there is a dedication page for the victims of the war, including the author's son.
The hidden scrolls have many names - they are also called the Dead Sea Scrolls, or the Judean Desert Scrolls, or the Qumran Scrolls, are scrolls that were discovered in the Qumran Caves in the Judean Desert and at other sites in the King's Sea area, between 1947-1956.
The discovery of the scrolls is considered one of the most important archeological finds discovered in the modern era in the Land of Israel. The scrolls are of great historical and religious importance.
