Tel Aviv, Israel: Dvir Publishers, first edition,1958. Paperback. Author and artist Esther Lurie [1913-1998] was imprisoned in the Kovno ghetto during the Nazi occupation (1941-44) along with other Jews. As soon as she entered the ghetto, in mid-1941, Lurie began to sketch views of her new world. , damages to wrapper, several plates with small damages to edges.
