1938 WA & AC Churchman Boxing Personalities #3 Max Baer PSA 3 VG
This is an extremely rare card! of the boxer whose paternal grandfather was Jewish, Max Barr embraced his Jewish side and even boxed for a time with a Star of David on his pants! In 1933 - he faced the Nazi German boxer Max Schmeling (the then world champion, whom many saw as a supporter of Hitler), after he managed to drag Schmeling to 10 rounds. Bar won and is considered a hero in the eyes of many Jews.
This card was sold in cigarette packs in the UK and was used for a photo album in 1938!
