ANTIQUE PERSIAN BIDJAR HAND KNOTTED RUG – 1.8 x 3.1 (51cm x 94cm)
Antique Persian Bidjar rug was hand knotted in Iran of 100% natural wool with a cotton foundation. This rug is 90+ years old and has medium, even, wool piles and is in excellent condition for its age. Beautiful colors with excellent quality, showing signs of abrash (fading) from the use of vegetable dyes. This rug was acquired directly from an established rug merchant. The middle edge of this rug has been repaired on both sides. Clean and ready to be enjoyed. Recent embargoes by the U.S. against Iranian goods should cause the value of these rugs to increase.
