HENRI MATISSE (1869-1954) LITHOGRAPH ANNOUNCING NATIONAL GALLERY EXHIBIT FOR IMPRESSIONIST TO EARLY MODERN PAINTINGS FROM THE USSR – 35in x 36in, 89cm x 93cm
Henri Matisse (1869-1954) color lithograph titled Le Desserte Rouge after the original which was originally created in 1908. It was produced on heavy stock museum paper, and it measures 35 inches x 36 inches and it is framed under glass in an ornate, gold tone frame. It was produced in 1996. This piece was acquired from the estate of an ex-employee of the National Gallery in Washington, DC. This piece was produced in 1986, and was in brand new condition, found untouched for 36 years in a poster tube in her house.
