ANTIQUE PERSIAN BIDJAR HAND KNOTTED RUG – 5.0 x 9.7 (152cm x 292cm)
Antique Persian Bidjar rug was hand knotted in Iran of 100% natural wool with a cotton foundation. This rug is 80+ years old and has medium, even, wool piles and is in excellent condition for its age. Beautiful colors with excellent quality, showing signs of abrash (fading) from the use of vegetable dyes. This rug was acquired from a Virginia estate. Clean and ready to be enjoyed. Recent embargoes by the U.S. against Iranian goods should cause the value of these rugs to increase.
