Western Asiatic Lion Statuette
5th-4th century BC
A bronze figurine of a reclining lion with erect head and extended forepaws, tail curled to the side, cross-hatched mane, lentoid eyes and raised nasal-line, open mouth with exposed canines. 400 grams, 81mm (3 1/4"). Fine condition.
