Western Asiatic Sassanian Silver Bowl with Peacock
6th century AD
A bronze oval bowl with rounded body and base; gilt inner face with reserved repoussé figure of a peacock with detailed plumage to the wings and tail. 187 grams, 19.5cm (7 3/4"). Very fine condition.
