Large Byzantine Weight with Crosses
12th-14th century AD
A cuboid bronze weight with chamfered edges, incised voided cross to each lateral face, similar to the upper face with flanking saltires. 129 grams, 30mm (1 1/4"). Fine condition.
Provenance
Property of a gentleman; acquired in the late 1960s-early 1970s.
